(jury) duty calls.
it’s been almost exactly four and a half years since the last time i served at jury duty, and here we are again. talk about keeping tabs. they seriously did not wait a minute past my “exemption time,” to call me in again. i’m living in an apartment full of boxes (which i can’t unpack because i need furniture to unpack into), and tomorrow morning i’ll be reporting to the district court, summons in hand. i don’t think any other state calls residents into its courts nearly as much as new york does. has anyone else been called twice in the last five years?
